Penduline ("we", "our", "us") operates the website at pendulined.pro and the watch repair workshop located at 19 Phra Sumen Road, Banglamphu, Bangkok 10200, Thailand. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information you provide when visiting our website or contacting us about our services.
We handle personal data in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA). If you have questions about this policy, please contact us at [email protected].
1. Data We Collect
We collect personal data only when you choose to provide it. This occurs through:
- The contact form on our website (name, email address, phone number, and message content)
- Direct email correspondence with us
- In-person visits to the workshop (name and contact details for service records)
- Website analytics cookies, if you have consented to these
We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as financial information, health data, or identity documents) through our website. Watch information you share with us — make, model, serial number — is treated as workshop data and handled with the same discretion.
2. How We Use Your Data
Personal data collected through the contact form or email is used for:
- Responding to enquiries about our services
- Preparing and communicating written estimates
- Managing the ongoing service or restoration of your watch
- Sending updates on the progress of work in progress, where agreed
- Keeping a record of completed services for workshop purposes
The legal basis for this processing is performance of a service contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the PDPA equivalent provisions) and our legitimate interest in responding to customer enquiries. We do not use personal data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
3. Data Retention
Contact enquiries not resulting in a service are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. Service records for completed work are retained for five years for warranty and business record purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 6).
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertising networks. Data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- With parts suppliers, where we need to provide a serial number or movement type to source a specific component — no identifying personal data is included in these communications
- Where required by Thai law or a lawful request from a competent authority
- With service providers who assist with website operation (such as analytics providers), subject to data processing agreements
5. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies are required for basic website function and are always active. Analytics and preference cookies are optional and only set if you have consented via the cookie banner. For full details of the cookies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Your Rights
Under the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations
- Right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand (PDPC) if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.
7. Data Security
Personal data is stored on access-controlled systems. We use HTTPS for all web communications. Workshop records are stored in a physically secured location with restricted staff access. In the event of a data breach that may affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within the timeframes required by Thai law.
8. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external site you visit.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the website after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
